TRILIPIX is a prescription medication used along with diet to lower cholesterol.1
When used together with a low-cholesterol diet, TRILIPIX has been effective at reducing elevated low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and at increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol in the blood.1
TRILIPIX should not be taken by people with liver, gallbladder, or severe kidney disease, or by nursing mothers or those allergic to any product ingredients. TRILIPIX may cause serious liver injury, including liver transplantation and death. Blood tests are needed before and during treatment to check for liver problems. TRILIPIX may cause serious muscle problems with symptoms such as unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. The risk for these side effects may be higher when TRILIPIX is used with a statin. Blood tests may be needed to check for kidney problems. Other serious side effects may include inflammation (swelling) of the gallbladder or pancreas (with symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting), allergic-type reactions, blood clots, or possible changes in some blood test values.
