Cholesterol Quiz

Bad cholesterol (LDL) is the only part of cholesterol that you need to worry about.

Managing cholesterol is a challenge. Many people may still have high triglycerides or low good cholesterol (HDL) even though they:

  • Take a statin cholesterol medication

  • Eat a healthy diet

  • Exercise regularly

If that sounds like you—and you're serious about improving the 3 main parts of cholesterol—it's time to talk to your doctor about TRILIPIX.

Ask your doctor if TRILIPIX is right for you

Managing your cholesterol problem requires commitment. And that means understanding your treatments and finding out what you need to know to take them correctly.

  • TRILIPIX is a prescription medicine used along with diet to lower triglycerides and raise HDL (good) cholesterol in people at high risk of heart disease who have abnormal cholesterol levels and are taking a statin medicine to manage LDL (bad) cholesterol. TRILIPIX has not been shown to prevent heart attacks or stroke more than a statin alone.1

  • TRILIPIX is taken once a day, with or without food.

  • It can be taken at the same time you take your statin cholesterol medication.

  • TRILIPIX is used along with a low-fat and low-cholesterol diet.

  • Be sure to tell your doctor about all the medications you take including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, herbal supplements, and if you consume large amounts of grapefruit juice.

  • See your doctor as instructed for routine testing.

Safety Considerations

TRILIPIX should not be taken by people with liver, gallbladder, or severe kidney disease, nursing mothers, or those allergic to any product ingredient.

Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness may be a sign of a serious side effect and should be reported to your healthcare provider right away. Rarely, muscle-related problems can cause kidney damage and can be fatal. The risk of these side effects may be higher when TRILIPIX is used with a statin.
