TRILIPIX Video: Get Informed
Lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) is only part of the cholesterol picture. It's also important to raise good cholesterol (HDL) and lower triglycerides (trigs). Watch the video to learn how adding TRILIPIX to your statin cholesterol medication and a healthy diet can help you manage the 3 main parts of your cholesterol.
TRILIPIX is a prescription medicine used along with diet to lower triglycerides and raise HDL (good) cholesterol in people at high risk of heart disease who have abnormal cholesterol levels and are taking a statin medicine to manage LDL (bad) cholesterol. TRILIPIX has not been shown to prevent heart attacks or stroke more than a statin alone.
Safety Considerations
TRILIPIX should not be taken by people with liver, gallbladder, or severe kidney disease, or by nursing mothers. Blood tests are needed before and during treatment with TRILIPIX to check for liver problems. Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness may be a sign of a serious side effect. The risk for these side effects may be higher when TRILIPIX is used with a statin. Other serious side effects may include abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting, which may be a sign of inflammation (swelling) of the gallbladder or pancreas.
