Cholesterol Quiz

Which of the following components may be included as part of a cholesterol management plan?

What are triglycerides and HDL (good cholesterol)?

Triglycerides, a type of fat in the blood, are produced in the liver and also come from foods that you eat.1 High levels of triglycerides are often found in people who:2

  • Have high total cholesterol levels

  • Are overweight

  • Have heart problems or diabetes

Good cholesterol (HDL) is thought to take cholesterol from the tissues to the liver, where it is removed from the body.2

TRILIPIX can help raise good cholesterol (HDL) and lower triglycerides

TRILIPIX helps to improve cholesterol by raising good cholesterol (HDL) and lowering triglycerides.3 TRILIPIX is a prescription medicine used along with diet to lower triglycerides and raise HDL (good) cholesterol in people at high risk of heart disease who have abnormal cholesterol levels and are taking a statin medicine to manage LDL (bad) cholesterol. TRILIPIX has not been shown to prevent heart attacks or stroke more than a statin alone.
