Cholesterol Quiz
Foods labeled as “no cholesterol” are always a heart-healthy choice.
Your cholesterol problem may not be just about bad cholesterol
It's important to manage the 3 main parts of cholesterol:
TRILIPIX can help raise good cholesterol (HDL) and lower triglycerides
There's good news: Adding TRILIPIX may be just what you need. If you're taking a statin cholesterol medication to lower bad cholesterol, but your good cholesterol and triglycerides still aren't where they need to be, ask your doctor about TRILIPIX.
TRILIPIX is the first and only fibrate cholesterol medication that is FDA-approved to be used with a statin cholesterol medication to help improve all three cholesterol numbers (good cholesterol, bad cholesterol, and triglycerides).
TRILIPIX is used along with diet to lower triglycerides and raise HDL (good) cholesterol in people at high risk of heart disease who have abnormal cholesterol levels and are taking a statin medicine to manage LDL (bad) cholesterol.1
TRILIPIX has not been shown to prevent heart attacks or stroke more than a statin alone.
Safety Considerations
TRILIPIX should not be taken by people with liver, gallbladder, or severe kidney disease, or by nursing mothers. Blood tests are needed before and during treatment with TRILIPIX to check for liver problems. Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness may be a sign of a serious side effect. The risk for these side effects may be higher when TRILIPIX is used with a statin. Other serious side effects may include abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting, which may be a sign of inflammation (swelling) of the gallbladder or pancreas.
